Apparatus and system for authenticating, grading, and encapsulating collectibles

A system comprising:

• a scanning device configured to:
• generate information describing authenticity and a grade of a collectible scanned by the scanning device;
• a computer device communicably coupled to the scanning device and configured to:
• extract a set of features from the collectible;
• match the set of features to stored grade profiles of collectible items, wherein the grade profiles stores data indicative of features associated with different grading tiers of preservation;
• generate a grade score describing a grade of the collectible based on the grade profiles;
• determine a grade of the collectible based on the matching;
• generate a digital representation of the grade;
• match the set of features to authenticity profiles of collectible items, each authenticity profile of the authenticity profiles characterizing at least one collectible item of the collectible items across multiple features;
• and
• generate a confidence score with respect to an authenticity of the collectible based on the authenticity profiles.
