Method and apparatus for multiple input power distribution to adjacent outputs

A power distribution apparatus comprising:

• a power distribution unit housing;
• a power input disposed at least partially within the power distribution unit housing, said power input comprising at least a first input connection electrically connectable to a first power source, and a second input connection electrically connectable to a second power source;
• a plurality of power outputs, each comprising a respective primary connector and a respective return connector, disposed at least partially within the housing, said plurality of power outputs including at least a first power output and a second power output located adjacent to the first power output;
• and
• a printed circuit board (PCB) disposed in the housing, said PCB comprising (i) a first conducting layer electrically interconnected to the first input connection and an associated primary connector of the first power output, and (ii) a second conducting layer located at least partially above the first conducting layer and in facing relationship thereto, said second conducting layer electrically insulated from the first conducting layer, electrically interconnected with the second input connection and an associated primary connector of the second power output, and wherein the first and second power outputs are connected to different power inputs.
