Abstract
An optoelectronic chip includes optical inputs having different passbands, a photonic circuit to be tested, and an optical coupling device configured to couple said inputs to the photonic circuit to be tested.
Claims20
A method of testing comprising:
- providing an optoelectronic chip comprising optical inputs, each optical input being adapted to one of a plurality of wavelengths;
- providing an optical coupler configured to couple the optical inputs to a plurality of outputs;
- providing a plurality of photonic circuits to be tested, each of the plurality of photonic circuits to be tested being configured to be coupled to one of the plurality of outputs of the optical coupler;
- and
- testing each of the plurality of photonic circuits to be tested to determine operation of the corresponding photonic circuit at the plurality of wavelengths.

A method of testing comprising:
- aligning a optical coupler between an array of optical fibers and a plurality of photonic circuits to be tested, each optical fiber having one end coupled to a light source of one of a plurality of wavelengths, the aligning comprising aligning the array of optical fibers with one of the optical inputs of the optical coupler, the optical coupler being a multimode interferometer type or an evanescent coupler;
- coupling each of the plurality of photonic circuits to one of the outputs of the optical coupler;
- and
- testing each of the plurality of photonic circuits to be tested to determine operation of the corresponding photonic circuit at the plurality of wavelengths.
