Abstract
A reducer appropriately selects from three or more variable speeds to match multiple operational modes. An impact driver includes a motor, a reducer that reduces rotation from the motor to select from three or more variable speeds, a plurality of actuators to be actuated by the rotation reduced by the reducer, and a switcher that selects, from the plurality of actuators, a specific actuator to be actuated in a predetermined operational mode. The switcher causes the reducer to cooperate with the selected specific actuator and actuates the reducer at a predetermined variable speed of the three of more variable speeds corresponding to the predetermined operational mode of the selected specific actuator.
Claims14
A power tool, comprising:
- a motor;
- a reducer configured to mechanically reduce a rotation output from the motor to three or more variable rotation speeds from the reducer;
- an anvil;
- a plurality of actuators (i) configured to be actuated by a rotation of the reducer and (ii) including a striker configured to strike the anvil;
- and
- a switcher configured to (i) select, from the plurality of actuators, the striker to be actuated in an impact mode and (ii) cause the reducer to cooperate with the striker and actuate the reducer at a predetermined variable speed of the three of more variable speeds corresponding to the impact mode of the striker;
- wherein the reducer and the switcher are configured (i) to provide that the impact mode is switchable between a high impact mode to apply a greater striking force to the anvil and a low impact mode to apply a less striking force than in the high impact mode and (ii) such that the switcher causes the reducer to operate the striker at a higher speed in the low impact mode than in the high impact mode.
A power tool, comprising:
- a motor;
- a reducer configured to mechanically reduce a rotation output speed from the motor that is input into the reducer to three or more variable rotation speeds output from the reducer;
- a plurality of actuators configured to be actuated by a rotation of the reducer;
- and
- a switcher configured to be operated to (i) select, from the plurality of actuators, a specific actuator to be actuated in a predetermined operational mode, (ii) cause the reducer to engage the specific actuator and (iii) operate the reducer to output a predetermined variable speed of the three of more variable speeds corresponding to the predetermined operational mode of the selected specific actuator, wherein
- the reducer includes at least three gear stages (i) aligned in an axial direction and (ii) that include internal gears, planetary gears configured to revolve in the internal gears, and carriers supporting the planetary gears,
- the internal gears include a rotatable intermediate internal gear, a rotatable rear internal gear and a rotatable front internal gear that is slidable in the axial direction between a first slide position and a second slide position,
- the intermediate internal gear and the rear internal gear are closer to the motor than the front internal gear,
- the reducer is configured such that the intermediate internal gear cannot move relative to the rear internal gear and the rear internal gear cannot move relative to the intermediate internal gear in the axial direction,
- the intermediate internal gear and the rear internal gear are adjacent to each other in the axial direction and have different reduction ratios from each other,
- the reducer includes an engagement member engageable selectively with one internal gear of the intermediate internal gear and the rear internal gear to restrict rotation of the one internal gear of the intermediate internal gear and the rear internal gear, and
- the reducer is configured such that:
- when the front internal gear is in the first slide position, (i) the front internal gear is restricted from rotating and (ii) a first set of the planetary gears is revolved,
- when the front internal gear is in the second slide position, the front internal gear is not restricted from rotating and engages with the first set of the planetary gears and a first carrier of the carriers, and
- restricting rotation of one internal gear of (i) the intermediate internal gear and (ii) the rear internal gear performed by the engagement member is combined with setting a slide position of the front internal gear to allow selection from the three or more variable speeds.
A power tool, comprising:
- a motor;
- a reducer (i) configured to mechanically reduce a rotation output speed from the motor that is input into the reducer to three or more variable rotation speeds output from the reducer and (ii) frontward from the motor;
- and
- a chuck configured to be actuated by a rotation of the reducer;
- wherein
- the reducer includes at least three gear stages (i) aligned in a front-rear direction and (ii) that include internal gears, planetary gears configured to revolve in the internal gears, and carriers supporting the planetary gears,
- the internal gears include a rotatable intermediate internal gear, a rotatable rear internal gear and a rotatable front internal gear that is slidable in the axial direction between a first slide position and a second slide position,
- the intermediate internal gear and the rear internal gear are adjacent to each other in the front-rear direction and have different reduction ratios from each other,
- the intermediate internal gear and the rear internal gear do not move relative to the motor in the front-rear direction,
- the reducer includes an engagement member engageable selectively with one internal gear of the intermediate internal gear and the rear internal gear to restrict rotation of the one internal gear of the intermediate internal gear and the rear internal gear, and
- the reducer is configured such that:
- when the front internal gear is in the first slide position, (i) the front internal gear is restricted from rotating and (ii) a first set of the planetary gears is revolved,
- when the front internal gear is in the second slide position, the front internal gear is not restricted from rotating, and
- restricting rotation of one internal gear of (i) the intermediate internal gear and (ii) the rear internal gear performed by the engagement member is combined with setting a slide position of the front internal gear to allow selection from the three or more variable speeds.
