## Abstract

A system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program and a computer-implemented method for a geo-fenced zone of commerce are described. Consistent with some embodiments, the method may include subdividing a geographic area, generating corresponding geo-fences, and presenting the corresponding geo-fences as listings in a navigable online marketplace.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A system comprising:
one or more hardware processors; and
one or more computer-readable mediums storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more hardware processors, cause the system to perform operations comprising:
accessing social network activity of a plurality of users, the social network activity of the plurality of users provided by client devices of the plurality of users, the social network activity comprising:
location data describing geographic locations of the client devices; and
engagement data associated with the plurality of users;
determining, based on the location data included in the social network activity of the plurality of users, that a concentration of client devices is located within a geographic location;
in response to determining that the concentration of client devices is located within the geographic location, automatically generating a geo-fence that encompasses the geographic location;
causing display of a listing interface that comprises a presentation of a geo-fence identifier that identifies at least a portion of the geo-fence that encompasses the geographic location determined based on the location data;
receiving a bid to utilize the geo-fence; and
determining a cost for delivering targeted content that corresponds to the engagement data.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein the instructions cause the system to perform further operations comprising receiving a time frame associated with utilizing the geo-fence.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The system of claim 2, wherein the instructions cause the system to perform further operations comprising calculating an initial cost based on the time frame associated with utilizing the geo-fence.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein the listing interface lists a cost for the geo-fence.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein the cost encompasses the geographic location based on a property associated with the geo-fence.

### Claim 6 (depends on 5)

The system of claim 5, wherein the property associated with the geo-fence is based on the concentration of social network activity.

### Claim 7 (depends on 5)

The system of claim 5, wherein the property associated with the geo-fence is based on the geographic location.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein the geo-fence identifier includes an identification of the geographic location, the identification of the geographic location comprising an image that depicts the geographic location.

### Claim 9

A method comprising:
accessing social network activity of a plurality of users, the social network activity of the plurality of users provided by client devices of the plurality of users, the social network activity comprising:
location data describing geographic locations of the client devices; and
engagement data associated with the plurality of users;
determining, based on the location data included in the social network activity of the plurality of users, that a concentration of client devices is located within a geographic location;
in response to determining that the concentration of client devices is located within the geographic location, automatically generating a geo-fence that encompasses the geographic location;
causing display of a listing interface that comprises a presentation of a geo-fence identifier that identifies at least a portion of the geo-fence that encompasses the geographic location determined based on the location data;
receiving a bid to utilize the geo-fence; and
determining a cost for delivering targeted content that corresponds to the engagement data.

### Claim 10 (depends on 9)

The method of claim 9, wherein the instructions cause the system to perform further operations comprising:
receiving a time frame associated with utilizing the geo-fence; and
calculating an initial cost based on the time frame associated with utilizing the geo-fence.

### Claim 11 (depends on 9)

The method of claim 9, wherein the cost encompasses the geographic location based on a property associated with the geo-fence.

### Claim 12 (depends on 11)

The method of claim 11, wherein the property associated with the geo-fence is based on the concentration of social network activity.

### Claim 13 (depends on 11)

The method of claim 11, wherein the property associated with the geo-fence is based on the geographic location.

### Claim 14 (depends on 9)

The method of claim 9, wherein the geo-fence identifier includes an identification of the geographic location, the identification of the geographic location comprising an image that depicts the geographic location.

### Claim 15

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by one or more computer processors of one or more computing devices, causes the one or more computing devices to perform operations comprising:
accessing social network activity of a plurality of users, the social network activity of the plurality of users provided by client devices of the plurality of users, the social network activity comprising:
location data describing geographic locations of the client devices; and
engagement data associated with the plurality of users;
determining, based on the location data included in the social network activity of the plurality of users, that a concentration of client devices is located within a geographic location;
in response to determining that the concentration of client devices is located within the geographic location, automatically generating a geo-fence that encompasses the geographic location;
causing display of a listing interface that comprises a presentation of a geo-fence identifier that identifies at least a portion of the geo-fence that encompasses the geographic location determined based on the location data;
receiving a bid to utilize the geo-fence; and
determining a cost for delivering targeted content that corresponds to the engagement data.

### Claim 16 (depends on 15)

The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15, wherein the instructions cause the one or more computing devices to perform further operations comprising:
receiving a time frame associated with utilizing the geo-fence; and
calculating an initial cost based on the time frame associated with utilizing the geo-fence.

### Claim 17 (depends on 15)

The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15, wherein the cost encompasses the geographic location based on a property associated with the geo-fence.

### Claim 18 (depends on 17)

The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 17, wherein the property associated with the geo-fence is based on the concentration of social network activity.

### Claim 19 (depends on 17)
