Fender arrangement for docking a marine vessel with a boat landing of a marine off-shore structure

A fender unit comprising:

• a fender body comprising an elastically deformable material;
• a receiving recess sized and shaped to correspond with a docking rail of a boat landing, a surface of the receiving recess includes a friction enhancing pattern;
• an internal deformation control cavity positioned within the fender body at a distance from the receiving recess;
• an internal deformation control cavity or group of cavities within the fender body that are positioned at a distance from the receiving recess;
• a primary internal deformation control cavity or group of cavities located adjacent to the receiving recess, providing a first, compression stage as the fender unit is pressed against a docking rail, and
• a secondary internal deformation control cavity or group of cavities located farther from the receiving recess relative to the first deformation control cavity or group of cavities providing a second, stiffer compression stage relative to the first compression stage.
