Abstract
In some implementations, a mobile device transmit traffic information to a server for analysis. The traffic information includes movement information including detected stops and durations of detected stops. The traffic information is analyzed to detect traffic patterns that indicate locations of stop signs and/or stop lights. The traffic information is analyzed to determine durations of stops at stop signs and/or stop lights. The durations of stops is associated with a time of day and/or day of the week. In some implementations, navigational routes is determined based stop sign and/or stop light information, including the delays attributable to detected stop signs and/or stop lights.
Claims30
A method comprising:
- at an electronic device in communication with a display device and one or more input devices:
- receiving, via the one or more input devices, a first input corresponding to a first physical location and a second physical location;
- and
- in response to receiving the first input:
- in accordance with a determination that one or more first criteria are satisfied, displaying, via the display device, a first suggested departure time for a route from the first physical location to the second physical location, wherein the first suggested departure time is selected based on one or more first characteristics corresponding to one or more stop lights or one or more stop signs along the route.
An electronic device, comprising:
- one or more processors;
- memory;
- and
- one or more programs, wherein the one or more programs are stored in the memory and configured to be executed by the one or more processors, the one or more programs including instructions for:
- receiving, via one or more input devices, a first input corresponding to a first physical location and a second physical location;
- and
- in response to receiving the first input:
- in accordance with a determination that one or more first criteria are satisfied, displaying, via display device, a first suggested departure time for a route from the first physical location to the second physical location, wherein the first suggested departure time is selected based on one or more first characteristics corresponding to one or more stop lights or one or more stop signs along the route.
A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing one or more programs, the one or more programs comprising instructions, which when executed by an electronic device with one or more processors and memory, cause the electronic device to:
- receive, via one or more input devices, a first input corresponding to a first physical location and a second physical location;
- and
- in response to receiving the first input:
- in accordance with a determination that one or more first criteria are satisfied, display, via display device, a first suggested departure time for a route from the first physical location to the second physical location, wherein the first suggested departure time is selected based on one or more first characteristics corresponding to one or more stop lights or one or more stop signs along the route.
