Abstract
Two-part cyanoacrylate/cationically curable adhesive systems are provided.
Claims31
A two-part curable composition comprising:
- a. a first part comprising a cyanoacrylate component, and a cationic curing catalyst;
- b. a second part comprising a cationic curable component, an initiator component, and a cyclic carbonate;
- wherein the two-part composition further comprises core-shell rubber particles having an average particle size of from about 50 μm to about 300 μm;
- wherein when mixed together, the cationic curing catalyst initiates cure of the cationic curable component.

A two-part curable the composition comprising:
- a. a first part comprising a cyanoacrylate component, and a cationic curing catalyst;
- b. a second part comprising a cationic curable component, an initiator component, and a cyclic carbonate;
- wherein when mixed together, the cationic curing catalyst initiates cure of the cationic curable component and wherein the first part and the second part are present in a ratio of about 1:2 by volume.
