Abstract
A machine tool includes a rotation indexing device and an abnormality determination device. The rotation indexing device including a clamp device configured to maintain a rotary shaft at an indexed angular position and an air purge device configured to supply compressed air to a space within a frame. The abnormality determination device includes a pressure sensor configured to output a pressure signal according to a pressure in a supply pipe conduit of the air purge device, and a determinator configured to determine presence or absence of an abnormality, based on the pressure signal from the pressure sensor.

A machine tool comprising:
- a rotation indexing device for indexing an angular position of a rotation target member attached to an end portion of a rotary shaft, the rotation indexing device including:
- a clamp device configured to maintain the rotary shaft at an indexed angular position;
- and an air purge device configured to supply compressed air to a space within a frame to increase an internal pressure in the space and including a pressure regulator provided in a supply pipe conduit connecting a supply source of the compressed air and the frame, and
- an abnormality determination device including:
- a pressure sensor provided on the frame side with respect to the pressure regulator in the supply pipe conduit, the pressure sensor being configured to output a pressure signal according to a pressure in the supply pipe conduit;
- and a determinator configured to determine presence or absence of an abnormality, based on the pressure signal from the pressure sensor.
