A wearable tray, comprising:
- a base comprising a hinge, a tray front portion, and a tray rear portion, the hinge connecting the front portion to the rear portion, and the front portion is moveable about an axis of rotation at the hinge between an extended position and a retracted position where the axis of rotation extends along a width of the base;
- a back wall connected to the base;
- a first sidewall connected to the base;
- a second sidewall connected to the base opposite the first sidewall, the front portion is between the first sidewall and the second sidewall when in the extended position, the front portion is supported by the first sidewall and the second sidewall when in the extended position, extends a forward length of the base when in the extended position, and is disengaged from the first sidewall and the second sidewall when in the retracted position;
- and,
- a neck strap connected to the first sidewall and the second sidewall.
A human body supported tray, comprising:
- a base comprising a hinge, an article support surface, a front portion, and a rear portion, the hinge connecting the front portion to the rear portion, the front portion is pivotal about an axis of rotation at the hinge between an extended position and a retracted position where the axis of rotation extends along a width of the base, the front portion and the rear portion each comprise a portion of the article support surface;
- a back wall connected to the base;
- a first sidewall connected to the base;
- a second sidewall connected to the base opposite the first sidewall, the front portion is between the first sidewall and the second sidewall when in the extended position, the front portion is supported by the first sidewall and the second sidewall when in the extended position, extends a forward length of the article support surface when in the extended position, and is disengaged from the first sidewall and the second sidewall when in the retracted position;
- and,
- a neck strap connected to the first sidewall and the second sidewall.
A method of deploying a human wearable tray, comprising the steps of:
- pivoting a base about a first hinge connected to a back wall;
- pivoting a first sidewall about a second hinge connected to the base;
- pivoting a second sidewall about a third hinge connected to the base;
- connecting the first sidewall to the back wall by engaging a first clip of the first sidewall to the back wall at a first aperture of the back wall;
- connecting the second sidewall to the back wall by engaging a second clip of the second sidewall to the back wall at a second aperture of the back wall;
- and,
- pivoting a tray front portion of the base about an axis of rotation at a fourth hinge connected to a front portion of the base from a retracted position where the front portion is disengaged from the first sidewall and the second sidewall to an extended position where the front portion is supported by the first sidewall and the second sidewall and extends a forward length of the base, the axis of rotation extends along a width of the base.
