Abstract
An epoxy-based adhesive composition and methods for manufacturing the same are provided. The adhesive composition provides excellent adhesion strength, peel strength and impact-resistant strength uniformly over a wide temperature range.
Claims19
An adhesive composition comprising:
- (a) one or more epoxy resins;
- (b) a urethane resin having a polyether structure;
- (c) a core-shell rubber mixture of primary core-shell rubber particles and secondary core-shell rubber particles, wherein the secondary core-shell rubber particles are aggregates of the primary core-shell rubber particles, and a weight ratio of the primary core-shell rubber particles is 20 wt % or less relative to the total content of the core-shell rubber mixture;
- and
- (d) one or more epoxy curing agents,
- wherein the primary core-shell rubber particles have a ratio of a core particle diameter to a total core-shell particle diameter satisfying 0.8 to 0.99.
