Abstract
A field configurable vehicle includes bladders located interior of the vehicle hull walls. One or more of the bladders can be filled with fluids of varying densities to manage the buoyancy, mass properties, and thermal heat dissipation of the vehicle.
Claims7
A field configurable vehicle, comprising:
- a hull;
- a passive bladder integral to the hull, the passive bladder located within the interior walls of the hull, the passive bladder adapted to hold a volume of fluid, wherein the passive bladder is positioned on the vehicle to manage at least one of a mass and buoyancy property of the field configurable vehicle;
- and,
- a plurality of capillaries located within the interior walls of the hull and fluidly coupled to an interior volume of the vehicle, wherein the passive bladder is fluidly coupled to at least one of the plurality of capillaries.
