Image processing system enabling easy checking of OCR error image data, image forming apparatus, method of controlling image processing system, method of controlling image forming apparatus, and storage medium

A method of controlling an information processing apparatus including a scanner, a controller and a display, the method comprising:

• scanning, by the scanner, a documents to generate image data;
• obtaining, by the controller, character information from an image of the image data;
• and
• performing, by the controller, a process for storing the image data in a folder,
• wherein, in a case where character information obtained from an image of first image data generated by the scanner satisfies a condition, the display displays the image of the first image data and information indicating a folder where the first image data is to be stored, while the controller performs the process for storing the first image data, the folder being a folder having a folder name including one or more characters indicated by the character information obtained from the image of the first image data, and
• wherein, in a case where character information obtained from an image of second image data generated by the scanner does not satisfy the condition, the display displays an image of the second image data and information indicating a folder where the second image data is to be stored, while the controller performs the process for storing the second image data, the folder being a folder designated by a user before the character information is obtained from the image of the second image data.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program that, when executed by a computer, causes the computer to perform a method of controlling an information processing apparatus including a scanner, a controller and a display, the method comprising:

• scanning, by the scanner, a documents to generate image data;
• obtaining, by the controller, character information from an image of the image data;
• and
• performing, by the controller, a process for storing the image data in a folder,
• wherein, in a case where character information obtained from an image of first image data generated by the scanner satisfies a condition, the display displays the image of the first image data and information indicating a folder where the first image data is to be stored, while the controller performs the process for storing the first image data, the folder being a folder having a folder name including one or more characters indicated by the character information obtained from the image of the first image data, and
• wherein, in a case where character information obtained from an image of second image data generated by the scanner does not satisfy the condition, the display displays an image of the second image data and information indicating a folder where the second image data is to be stored, while the controller performs the process for storing the second image data, the folder being a folder designated by a user before the character information is obtained from the image of the second image data.
