Abstract
Disclosed herein are methods and systems for appliances, including networked or “Internet-of-Things” appliances.
Claims30
A method of selecting a signal to be sent to a plurality of electronic components having a varying performance profile, at least one of said plurality of electronic components being in each of a plurality of electronic appliances, said plurality of electronic components having a range of unmeasured manufacturing variation of at least one performance variable, the method comprising:
- selecting said signal to span the range of unmeasured manufacturing variation of said at least one performance variable;
- sending said signal to at least one of said plurality of electronic components;
- and
- varying said signal over the range of unmeasured manufacturing variation of said at least one performance variable, said range representing a range of unmeasured manufacturing variation of said at least one of said plurality of electronic components, wherein said range is an expected range of variation of the varying performance profile of said at least one of said plurality of electronic components, said varying of said signal spanning said range of unmeasured manufacturing variation of said at least one of said plurality of electronic components, so as to create a uniform experience across said plurality of electronic appliances.
A system to select a signal to be sent to a plurality of electronic components having a varying performance profile, at least one of said plurality of electronic components being in each of a plurality of electronic appliances, said plurality of electronic components having a range of unmeasured manufacturing variation of at least one performance variable, the system comprising a microprocessor and memory, the memory storing instructions, which, when performed by said processor, perform the following:
- selecting said signal to cross the range of unmeasured manufacturing variation of said at least one performance variable;
- sending said signal to at least one of said plurality of electronic components;
- and
- varying said signal over the range of unmeasured manufacturing variation of said at least one performance variable, said range representing a range of unmeasured manufacturing variation of said at least one of said plurality of electronic components, wherein said range is an expected range of variation of the varying performance profile of said at least one of said plurality of electronic components said varying of said signal spanning said range of unmeasured manufacturing variation of said at least one of said plurality of electronic components, so as to create a uniform experience across said plurality of electronic appliances.
