Methods for treating cancer, and for reducing angiogenesis in a tissue, comprising administering one or more of a miR-371 oligonucleotide; a miR-146 oligonucleotide; or an inhibitor of MLK2/3 activity.

A method of treating a solid tumor in a subject, the method comprising administering a composition comprising a miR-371 oligonucleotide comprising SEQ ID NO:
- 1 or SEQ ID NO:
- 2, wherein the composition is administered locally to the tumor or to the vasculature of the tumor, wherein the composition is administered in an amount sufficient to inhibit angiogenesis in the tumor, and wherein the solid tumor is a lung carcinoma.
