Abstract
A ski exercising apparatus has a set of two parallel, arcuate rails, a wheeled carriage riding on the rails, a set of two articulated footpads mounted side-by-side on the wheeled carriage; and two sets of powerbands arranged parallel with a lengthwise centerline of the apparatus, spaced apart by at least one-half of the width of the apparatus.
Claims8
A ski exercising apparatus, comprising:
- a set of two parallel, arcuate rails joined to first and second end tubes, forming a frame structure having, a width, a length and a lengthwise centerline with the rails providing a track rising from each end of the frame structure;
- a wheeled carriage having a base with wheels engaging the parallel arcuate rails, riding on the track, such that the carriage, in side-to-side movement along the track rises to a maximum height at a center of the track, and descends from the center of the track to each side of the track;
- a straight translation track mounted to the base, providing parallel raised, rounded ridges, the translation track having a series of holes spaced along a length of the translation track;
- a first and a second platform mating by grooves under the platforms to the rounded ridges of the straight translation track, the first and second platforms each having a vertical hole with a locking pin adapted to engage individual ones of the series of holes spaced along the translation track, such that the first and second platforms may be adjusted in position along the translation track and locked in position;
- a first upper frame member having vertical ends with pivot points between which a first articulated foot pad is suspended, mounted to the first platform;
- and
- a second upper frame member having vertical ends with pivot points between which a second articulated foot pad is suspended, mounted to the second platform.
