Mold-in fastener products

A method of making mold-in fastener products, the method comprising

• severing a layer of flexible barrier material on a surface of a longitudinally continuous hook tape having a flexible base and an array of discrete male touch fastener elements extending from a surface of the base, to form a pattern of patches of flexible barrier material spaced apart and surrounded by a continuous lattice of barrier material, with each of the patches and the lattice engaging respective groups of the male touch fastener elements;
• stripping the lattice from the surface of the base to expose the male touch fastener elements in exposed regions of the base surrounding each of the patches of flexible barrier material;
• and
• severing the hook tape along the exposed regions of the base to form individual mold-in fastener products, each comprising one of the patches of flexible barrier material surrounded by an exposed base edge region carrying the exposed male touch fastener elements.
