Abstract
A light-weight radiation protection panel comprising radiation protection layer and a flexible material. The radiation protection layer comprises a plurality of a shielding material distributed in repeated and adjacent units of geometrical shapes, the light-weight radiation protection panel being able to be embodied in a wearable garment providing flexibility.

A radiation protection device configured to be worn by a user, the radiation protection device comprising:
- a wearable portion;
- and
- radiation attenuating material configured to provide greater radiation attenuation at a first area than at a second area,
- wherein, when worn by the user, the first area is proximate a radiation sensitive organ of the user and the second area is proximate an area of the user less sensitive to radiation.

A radiation protection device configured to be worn by a user, the radiation protection device comprising:
- a vest comprising:
- a first flap, and
- a second flap configured to overlap the first flap, wherein the vest is configured to be donned and doffed where the first flap and the second flap overlap;
- and
- radiation attenuating material configured to provide radiation attenuation and located proximate a radiation sensitive organ of the user.
