Abstract
The present disclosure provides adamantyl compounds having one or more amine groups and one or more nitrate groups. The aminoadamantyl nitrate compounds can be used to treat disorders of the central nervous system, including neurodegenerative and non-neurodegenerative diseases.
Claims17
A method of treating a central nervous system (CNS) disorder, comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of Formula I, wherein Formula I is:
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof;
- and
- wherein the CNS disorder is associated with excitotoxicity due to excessive extrasynaptic glutamate.
