Abstract
Systems and methods for operating a driveline of a hybrid vehicle are described. In one example, a torque that is produced by an engine is adjusted responsive to a transmission oil temperature and a speed of a torque converter impeller so that temperature of oil in a transmission lube circuit may be maintained at a desired temperature.
Claims20
A driveline operating method, comprising:
- adjusting engine torque responsive to a transmission oil temperature and a speed of a torque converter impeller via a controller;
- and
- adjusting a transmission line pressure responsive to the engine torque.
A system, comprising:
- an engine;
- an electric machine;
- a driveline disconnect clutch included in a driveline and located between the engine and the electric machine, the driveline disconnect clutch coupled to the engine and the electric machine;
- and
- a controller including executable instructions stored in non-transitory memory to adjust a torque of the engine responsive to a transmission oil temperature and a speed of a torque converter impeller speed.
