Abstract
An archery mounting assembly and method are disclosed herein. The archery mounting assembly, in an embodiment, includes a mount device having a mount portion configured to be engaged with a body of an archery weapon. The mount device also has a first interface that extends at least partially along an adjustment axis. The archery mounting assembly further includes an accessory support, which includes a support portion configured to support an archery accessory and a second interface configured to be movably coupled to the first interface of the mount device.
Claims29
An archery mounting assembly comprising:
- a mount device comprising:
- a mount portion configured to be engaged with a body of an archery weapon, wherein the archery weapon is aimable toward a target located forward of the archery weapon, wherein a vertical plane extends through the target;
- and
- a first interface that extends at least partially along an adjustment axis, wherein, when the archery weapon is aimed at the target while the mount portion is engaged with the body:
- the adjustment axis intersects with the vertical plane;
- and
- the adjustment axis is oriented to extend into the body;
- and
- an accessory support comprising:
- a support portion configured to support an archery accessory;
- and
- a second interface configured to be movably coupled to the first interface of the mount device,
- wherein, when the mount portion is engaged with the body, the accessory support is configured to be moved, along the adjustment axis, in a plurality of different directions relative to the body.
An archery mounting assembly comprising:
- a mount device comprising:
- a mount portion configured to be engaged with a body of an archery weapon, wherein the archery weapon is aimable at a target through which a plane extends;
- and
- a first interface that extends at least partially along an adjustment axis, wherein, when the mount portion is engaged with the body while the archery weapon is aimed at the target, the adjustment axis is oriented to extend into the body and intersect with the plane;
- and
- an accessory support comprising:
- a support portion configured to support an archery accessory;
- and
- a second interface configured to be movably coupled to the first interface of the mount device so that, when the mount portion is engaged with the body, the second interface is configured to be moved, along the adjustment axis, relative to the body.
A method for manufacturing an archery mounting assembly, the method comprising:
- structuring a mount device to comprise:
- a mount portion structured to be engaged with a body of an archery weapon, wherein the archery weapon is aimable at a target through which a plane extends;
- and
- a first interface that extends at least partially along an adjustment axis, wherein, when the mount portion is engaged with the body while the archery weapon is aimed at the target, the adjustment axis is oriented to extend into the body and intersect with the plane;
- and
- structuring an accessory support to comprise:
- a support portion structured to support an archery accessory;
- and
- a second interface structured to be movably coupled to the first interface of the mount device so that, when the mount portion is engaged with the body, the second interface is configured to be moved, along the adjustment axis, relative to the body.
