Roof coating applicator method of use

A method for applying a viscous material, comprising:

• providing a hand tool configured to apply viscous material, comprising
• a body having a proximal end, a distal end, and an interior space configured to retain up to two gallons of the viscous material;
• a plurality of interchangeable nozzles selectively attachable to the distal end of the body;
• and
• a plunger assembly including a handle axially aligned with the body, the plunger assembly movably disposable within the interior space of the body;
• and
• pressing on the handle manually to push the viscous material out of the interior space and onto a surface through the nozzle.

A method for applying a viscous material, comprising:

• providing a hand tool configured to apply viscous material, comprising
• a body having a proximal end, a distal end, and an interior space configured to retain up to two gallons of the viscous material;
• a nozzle selectively attachable to the distal end of the body;
• and
• a plunger assembly including a handle axially aligned with the body, the plunger assembly movably disposable within the interior space of the body;
• and
• inserting the distal end of the hand tool without the nozzle into a receptacle containing viscous material;
• pulling on the handle manually to draw viscous material from the receptacle into the interior space of the hand tool;
• and
• pressing on the handle manually to push the viscous material out of the interior space and onto a surface with or without the nozzle.
