Radially expandable spinal interbody device and implantation tool

A method of implanting an expandable device, comprising:

• positioning an expandable device in a desired location, the expandable device comprising a base link comprising a base link void and a first link comprising a first link void;
• positioning an imaging device at a predetermined orientation relative to the expandable device;
• adjusting the expandable device to a first degree of expansion;
• acquiring an image portion using the imaging device, the image portion resulting from a first line of sight existing from the imaging device through the base link void and through the first link void;
• determining a degree of expansion of the expandable device based on the image portion;
• and
• adjusting the expandable device to a second degree of expansion.

An expandable implant comprising:

• a base link comprising a first end, a second end, and a base link aperture positioned between the first end of the base link and the second end of the base link and extending through the base link from a first side of the base link to a second side of the base link, the first side of the base link being on a first side of the implant;
• a first link comprising a first end coupled to the first end of the base link, a second end, and a first link aperture positioned between the first end of the first link and the second end of the first link and extending from a first side of the first link to a second side of the first link, the second side of the first link being on a second side of the implant;
• a second link comprising a first end coupled to the second end of the first link, a second end coupled to the second end of the base link, and a second link aperture positioned between the first end of the second link and the second end of the second link and extending from a first side of the second link to a second side of the second link, the second side of the second link being on the second side of the implant;
• wherein when the implant is in an expanded configuration, a first axis extends through the base link aperture from the first side of the base link to the second side of the base link and the first link aperture from the first side of the first link to the second side of the first link, and a second axis extends through the base link aperture from the first side of the base link to the second side of the base link and the second link aperture from the first side of the second link to the second side of the second link.
