Abstract
Provided is a cellulose derivative composition for a secondary battery binder, a method of preparing a composition for a secondary battery electrode, including the same, and a secondary battery including the same. According to the inventive concept, the cellulose derivative composition for a secondary battery binder may include a compound represented by Formula 1 below.
Claims17
A cellulose derivative composition for a secondary battery binder, comprising a compound represented by the following Formula 1:
- wherein, in Formula 1, at least one of R1, R2, and R3 is a functional group substituted with a monovalent metal (X) and comprising a phosphorus (P) element, and any remaining radicals of R1, R2, and R3 are each independently any one among a carboxymethyl group substituted with a monovalent metal (X), a functional group substituted with a monovalent metal (X) and comprising a sulfur (S) element, and hydrogen,
- the monovalent metal (X) is any one among lithium (Li), potassium (K), rubidium (Rb), and cesium (Cs), and
- “n” is an integer of 1 or more, and
- wherein the functional group substituted with a monovalent metal (X) and comprising a phosphorus (P) element is —PO3RX or —PO3X2, and
- R is a hydrocarbon group of 1 to 10 carbon atoms.
A method of preparing a composition for a secondary battery electrode, the method comprising:

- adding an active material to the aqueous solution of the cellulose derivative and stirring to prepare a first slurry;
- and
- adding an emulsion to the first slurry and stirring:
- wherein, in Formula 1, at least one of R1, R2, and R3 is a functional group substituted with a monovalent metal (X) and comprising a phosphorus (P) element, and any remaining radicals of R1, R2, and R3 are each independently any one among a carboxymethyl group substituted with a monovalent metal (X), a functional group substituted with a monovalent metal (X) and comprising a sulfur (S) element, and hydrogen,
- the monovalent metal (X) is any one among lithium (Li), potassium (K), rubidium (Rb), and cesium (Cs), and
- “n” is an integer of 1 or more, and
- wherein the functional group substituted with a monovalent metal (X) and comprising a phosphorus (P) element is —PO3RX or —PO3X, and
- R is a hydrocarbon group of 1 to 10 carbon atoms.
A secondary battery comprising:
- a positive electrode;
