Abstract
A switch is configured to switch connection between a second terminal to which a data signal is input and a memory control signal of a memory element in accordance with a switching signal included in a data signal. In write to a memory element, the switching signal switches such that the switch connects the second terminal and the memory control signal of the memory element, and a pulse signal for the write to the memory element is input via the second terminal.
Claims2
An element substrate comprising:
- a plurality of groups of print elements;
- a plurality of groups of memory elements;
- a first terminal to which a clock signal is input;
- a second terminal to which a data signal is input;
- a third terminal to which a driving signal for driving the print element is input;
- a control data supply unit configured to receive the data signal input from the second terminal in synchronism with the clock signal input from the first terminal and output a selection signal used to select groups and blocks of the memory elements and the print elements;
- and
- a selection unit configured to perform selection, in accordance with a switching signal included in the data signal, to connect one of the clock signal input from the first terminal and the driving signal input from the third terminal to a print element control signal for controlling driving of the print element and a memory control signal for controlling the memory element,
- wherein in driving of the print element, the switching signal switches such that the selection unit selects the driving signal input from the third terminal, and in driving of the memory element, the switching signal switches such that the selection unit selects the clock signal input from the first terminal, and a pulse signal for the write to the memory element is input via the first terminal.

- a plurality of groups of memory elements;

- a second terminal to which a data signal is input;

- wherein in write to the memory element, the switching signal switches such that the switch connects the first terminal and the memory control signal of the memory element, and a pulse signal for the write to the memory element is input via the first terminal.
