Injection molded screening apparatuses and methods

A method of forming a screen assembly, comprising:

• forming a plurality of screen units by:
• providing a plurality of screen elements, wherein each screen element includes end members, side members, reinforcement members that extend between the side members and a screening surface having a plurality of screening openings formed between adjacent pairs of screen surface elements, wherein screen element attachment arrangements are provided on bottom surfaces of the end members, the side members and the reinforcement members;
• providing a plurality of support elements that includes end members, side members and support members that extend between the side members, wherein support element attachment arrangements that are configured to mate with corresponding screen element attachment arrangements are provided on top surfaces of the end members, the side members and the support members;
• and
• attaching a bottom of each screen element to a top of a support element to form a plurality of screen units, wherein each screen element is attached to a support element by joining selected ones of the screen element attachment arrangements of the screen element to corresponding ones of the support element attachment arrangements of the support element such that no screen element attachment arrangements located on a central portion of the screen element are attached to support element attachment arrangements and such that the central portion of the screen element is free to move with respect to the support element when the screen unit is vibrated;
• and
• attaching the plurality of screen units to each other to form the screen assembly.
