Abstract
A system may include a virtual reality system configured to present one or more virtual objects via an electronic display. The system may also include one or more inflatable objects that correspond to the one or more virtual objects, such that the one or more inflatable objects matches one or more shapes of the one or more virtual objects. The system may also include a processor configured to cause at least one of the one or more inflatable objects to inflate based on feedback from the virtual reality system.
Claims20
A system, comprising:
- a plurality of inflatable objects positioned within an environment, wherein each of the plurality of inflatable objects is configured to:
- transition between a first state and a second state, wherein the second state corresponds to being at least partially inflated;
- and
- form a wall structure in the second state, wherein the wall structure is configured to inhibit access to an area within the environment through a respective inflatable object of the plurality of inflatable objects;
- one or more valves configured to direct a fluid into each of the plurality of inflatable objects to cause each of the plurality of inflatable objects to transition from the first state to the second state;
- and
- a processing system configured to:
- receive an input associated with a user traversing the environment;
- and
- control one or more adjustments of the one or more valves to cause the fluid to be directed into at least one of the plurality of inflatable objects and transition the at least one of the plurality of inflatable objects from the first state to the second state based on the input.
A method, comprising:
- receiving, via a processing system, configuration data associated with an environment, wherein the configuration data corresponds to an arrangement of a plurality of inflatable objects within the environment;
- determining, via the processing system, one or more first positions of one or more valves to control one or more flows of one or more fluids to the plurality of inflatable objects based on the configuration, wherein each of the plurality of inflatable objects is configured to form a wall structure when inflated;
- and
- sending, via the processing system, one or more commands to one or more actuators to cause the one or more valves to adjust one or more second positions of the one or more valves to the one or more first positions.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising computer-executable instructions that, when executed, are configured to cause a processing system to perform operations comprising:
- receiving configuration data associated with an environment, wherein the configuration data corresponds to an arrangement of a plurality of inflatable objects within the environment;
- determining one or more first positions of one or more valves to control one or more flows of fluid to at least one of the plurality of inflatable objects based on the configuration data;
- and
- sending one or more commands to a mechanical system configured to cause one or more valves to adjust one or more second positions of the one or more valves to the one or more first positions.
