Boules-style game and apparatus

A method of playing a game comprising the steps of:

• attaching raised ridges to a playing surface with couplers to form scoring areas;
• coupling said raised ridges to one another tangentially with couplers;
• affixing a vertical post assembly to the playing surface in a center of said raised ridges, wherein the vertical post assembly comprises a first part and a second part, wherein the first part is a stake and the second part includes a tubular portion and a tapered top, and wherein the second part is placed over the stake so that the second part is suspended above the playing surface with a lower end of the tubular portion spaced from the playing surface and the second part tilts when struck by a rolling ball;
• balancing a bonus ball on the tapered top of the second part of the vertical post assembly;
• rolling balls toward the vertical post assembly to score points, wherein when the second part of the vertical post assembly is tilted, the bonus ball which was balanced on said tapered top then falls to one of the scoring areas;
• and
• awarding points when the balls or the bonus ball land and remain within the scoring areas.
