Cluster system with fail-safe fallback mechanism

A system comprising:

• a first processing subsystem that includes a first processor and is configured to:
• receive a first set of data;
• and
• provide a first set of image data based on the first set of data
• a switch coupled the first processing subsystem and configured to couple to a second processing subsystem, wherein the switch is configured to:
• receive a load value of the first processing subsystem;
• and
• determine, based on a change in the load value over time, whether to provide output image data based on the first processing subsystem or on the second processing subsystem.

A method comprising:

• receiving a first set of data by a first processing subsystem;
• providing a first set of image data based on the first set of data by the first processing subsystem to a switch;
• receiving a second set of data by a second processing subsystem;
• providing a second set of image data based on the second set of data by the second processing subsystem to the switch;
• and
• determining, by the switch, whether to provide output image data based on the first processing subsystem or on the second processing subsystem based on a change in a processor load of the first processing subsystem over time.
