Image forming apparatus

An image forming apparatus comprising:

• a photosensitive drum;
• a first frame extending in a first direction intersecting with an axial direction of the photosensitive drum;
• a second frame extending in the first direction;
• an exposure unit including a light source, an exposure board, and a housing, the light source being configured to irradiate a surface of the photosensitive drum with light to form an electrostatic latent image, the exposure board being configured to control the light source, and the housing being configured to house the exposure board and the light source, the exposure unit being disposed between the first frame and the second frame in the axial direction;
• a control board configured to control the exposure unit and disposed outside the housing;
• and
• a wiring configured to provide a connection between the exposure board and the control board, wherein:
• the exposure board includes a connector to which the wiring is connected,
• a length in a longer-side direction of the connector is greater than a length in a shorter-side direction of the exposure board, and the connector is provided on a part of the exposure board such that the longer-side direction of the connector and the shorter-side direction of the exposure board intersect obliquely,
• the part of the exposure board protrudes from the housing in the first direction,
• an opening is defined between an end portion in the first direction of the first frame and an end portion in the first direction of the second frame, and
• the part of the exposure board is exposed from the opening.
