Abstract
The present disclosure is an accumulator that has an oil chamber, a first piston separating a first gas chamber from the oil chamber, and a second piston separating a second gas chamber from the oil chamber. The first and second piston are independently movable to alter the volume of the oil chamber.
Claims16
An accumulator, comprising:
- an oil chamber;
- a first piston separating a first gas chamber from the oil chamber;
- a second piston separating a second gas chamber from the oil chamber;
- a hydraulic borehole configured to at least partially receive a hydraulic cylinder assembly;
- and
- a fluid passage fluidly coupling the oil chamber to the hydraulic borehole;
- wherein the first gas chamber, second gas chamber, oil chamber, hydraulic borehole, and fluid passage are defined within a housing;
- wherein, the first and second piston are independently movable to alter the volume of the oil chamber.
