Abstract
Disclosed is a vaccine containing an MTV transition protein. A further version of the invention is a vaccine comprising MTV polypeptides coupled to a carrier protein. MTV may be treated by providing an MTV vaccine with an MTV transition protein; and, administering said vaccine.

A composition, comprising:
- a protein in the form of protein p10 of SEQ. ID NO:
- 2;
- and,
- at least one adjuvant selected from the group of:
- alum, Complete Freund's Adjuvant, aluminum salt, and calcium salt.

- testing for the presence of MTV infection in a subject;
- and
- administering to the subject a composition comprising p10 of SEQ. ID NO:
- 2, and at least one adjuvant selected from the group of:
- alum, Complete Freund's Adjuvant, aluminum salt, and calcium salt.
