Abstract
An image processing apparatus includes circuitry to determine a type of a document read by a scanner, set a top-bottom determination method based on the type of the document, and determine a top-bottom orientation of a target image by the top-bottom determination method. The target image is obtained by reading the document with the scanner.
Claims10
An image processing apparatus comprising circuitry configured to:
- determine a type of a document read by a scanner based on a number of characters or numerals contained in the document;
- select a top-bottom determination method from a plurality of top-bottom determination methods based on the type of the document;
- and
- determine a top-bottom orientation of a target image by the selected top-bottom determination method, the target image being obtained by reading the document with the scanner.
An image processing method comprising:
- determining a type of a document read by a scanner based on a number of characters or numerals contained in the document;
- selecting a top-bottom determination method from a plurality of top-bottom determination methods based on the type of the document;
- and
- determining a top-bottom orientation of a target image by the selected top-bottom determination method, the target image being obtained by reading the document with the scanner.
A non-transitory recording medium storing a plurality of program codes which, when executed by one or more processors, causes the one or more processors to perform a method, the method comprising:
- determining a type of a document read by a scanner based on a number of characters or numerals contained in the document;
- selecting a top-bottom determination method from a plurality of top-bottom determination methods based on the type of the document;
- and
- determining a top-bottom orientation of a target image by the selected top-bottom determination method, the target image being obtained by reading the document with the scanner.
