## Abstract

A control apparatus comprises a determination unit configured to, in a case where a user operation for removing an image capturing apparatus being a control target from the control target is performed, determine whether or not the image capturing apparatus is executing a specific function, and a control unit configured to, in a case where the determination unit determines that the image capturing apparatus is executing the specific function, cause the image capturing apparatus to stop the specific function.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A control apparatus comprising a computer executing instructions which, when executed by the computer, cause the control apparatus to:
determine whether an operation state indicates that an image capturing apparatus is operating an automatic control function or not; and
in a case where the operation state is determined that the image capturing apparatus is not operating the automatic control function, transmit, to the image capturing apparatus set as a control target of the control apparatus, a first control command to cause the image capturing apparatus set as the control target to perform a specific function,
wherein, in a case where an operation state is determined that the image capturing apparatus is operating the automatic control function, a second control command to cause the image capturing apparatus set as the control target to stop the specific function is not transmitted to the image capturing apparatus.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The control apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the specific function is a function of controlling a pan of the image capturing apparatus.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The control apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the specific function is a function of controlling a tilt of the image capturing apparatus.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The control apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the specific function is a function of controlling a zoom of the image capturing apparatus.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The control apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the automatic control function is at least one of a preset, a preset cycle, and a trace.

### Claim 6

A control method that a control apparatus performs, the method comprising:
determining whether an operation state indicates that an image capturing apparatus is operating an automatic control function or not; and
in a case where the operation state is determined that the image capturing apparatus is not operating the automatic control function, transmitting, to the image capturing apparatus set as a control target of the control apparatus, a first control command to cause the image capturing apparatus set as the control target to perform a specific function,
wherein, in a case where an operation state is determined that the image capturing apparatus is operating the automatic control function, a second control command to cause the image capturing apparatus set as the control target to stop the specific function is not transmitted to the image capturing apparatus.

### Claim 7 (depends on 6)

The control method according to claim 6, wherein the specific function is a function of controlling a pan of the image capturing apparatus.

### Claim 8 (depends on 6)

The control method according to claim 6, wherein the specific function is a function of controlling a tilt of the image capturing apparatus.

### Claim 9 (depends on 6)

The control method according to claim 6, wherein the specific function is a function of controlling a zoom of the image capturing apparatus.

### Claim 10 (depends on 6)

The control method according to claim 6, wherein the automatic control function is at least one of a preset, a preset cycle, and a trace.

### Claim 11

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a computer program that cause a computer to perform a method comprising:
determining whether an operation state indicates that an image capturing apparatus is operating an automatic control function or not; and
in a case where the operation state is determined that the image capturing apparatus is not operating the automatic control function, transmitting, to the image capturing apparatus set as a control target of the control apparatus, a first control command to cause the image capturing apparatus set as the control target to perform a specific function,
wherein, in a case where an operation state is determined that the image capturing apparatus is operating the automatic control function, a second control command to cause the image capturing apparatus set as the control target to stop the specific function is not transmitted to the image capturing apparatus.

### Claim 12 (depends on 11)

The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 11, wherein the specific function is a function of controlling a pan of the image capturing apparatus.

### Claim 13 (depends on 11)

The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 11, wherein the specific function is a function of controlling a tilt of the image capturing apparatus.

### Claim 14 (depends on 11)

The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 11, wherein the specific function is a function of controlling a zoom of the image capturing apparatus.

### Claim 15 (depends on 11)

The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 11, wherein the automatic control function is at least one of a preset, a preset cycle, and a trace.
