## Abstract

A user device (e.g., a computing device, a smart device, a mobile device, a laptop, a tablet, a display device, etc.) may identify a duration of a loading time for a page (e.g., web page, application page, links and/or linked data, documentation, a screen, etc.) of a user interface, for example, based on a request to load the page. The user device may retrieve a structure of the page that indicates an arrangement of page elements of the page, for example, based on the duration of the loading time exceeding a time threshold. The user device may cause, for example, during the loading time, display of a preview page for the page. According to some aspects of this disclosure, the preview page may include an animated representation of the structure of the page that indicates various arrangements of the page elements.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method comprising:
determining, by one or more computing devices, based on a request to load a page of a user interface, a duration of a loading time for the page;
determining, by the one or more computing devices, based on the duration of the loading time exceeding a time threshold, a structure of the page that indicates an arrangement of page elements of the page;
causing, by the one or more computing devices during the loading time, display of a preview page for the page comprising an animated representation of the structure of the page indicating a plurality of additional arrangements of the page elements; and
causing, by the one or more computing devices and based on an interaction with the preview page for the page, display of a graphical representation of an amount of time remaining for the duration of the loading time for the page.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the determining the duration of the loading time for the page comprises receiving, from a predictive model trained to forecast loading times for user interface pages, based on information indicative of the page input to the predictive model, an indication of the duration of the loading time.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the determining the duration of the loading time for the page comprises:
determining, based on an identifier of the page, an expected loading time for the page; and
adjusting, based on at least one of an amount of network errors or an amount of available network bandwidth, the expected loading time for the page to be the duration of the loading time for the page.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein at least a portion of the page elements of the plurality of additional arrangements are at least one of obscured or modified from a representation in the arrangement of page elements of the page to different representations in the plurality of additional arrangements of the page elements.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising generating, based on another loading of the page, image data indicative of the structure of the page, wherein the animated representation of the structure of the page is based on an animation of the image data.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the graphical representation of the amount of time remaining for the duration of the loading time for the page includes an indication of an amount of time associated with loading a first page element of the page elements of the page and an amount of time associated with loading a second page element of the page elements of the page.

### Claim 7

A non-transitory computer-readable medium having instructions stored thereon that, when executed by at least one computing device, causes the at least one computing device to perform operations comprising:
determining, based on a request to load a page of a user interface, a duration of a loading time for the page;
determining, based on the duration of the loading time exceeding a time threshold, a structure of the page that indicates an arrangement of page elements of the page;
causing, during the loading time, display of a preview page for the page comprising an animated representation of the structure of the page indicating a plurality of additional arrangements of the page elements; and
causing, based on an interaction with the preview page for the page, display of a graphical representation of an amount of time remaining for the duration of the loading time for the page.

### Claim 8 (depends on 7)

The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 7, wherein the determining the duration of the loading time for the page comprises receiving, from a predictive model trained to forecast loading times for user interface pages, based on information indicative of the page input to the predictive model, an indication of the duration of the loading time.

### Claim 9 (depends on 7)

The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 7, wherein the determining the duration of the loading time for the page comprises:
determining, based on an identifier of the page, an expected loading time for the page; and
adjusting, based on at least one of an amount of network errors or an amount of available network bandwidth, the expected loading time for the page to be the duration of the loading time for the page.

### Claim 10 (depends on 7)

The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 7, wherein at least a portion of the page elements of the plurality of additional arrangements are at least one of obscured or modified from a representation in the arrangement of page elements of the page to different representations in the plurality of additional arrangements of the page elements.

### Claim 11 (depends on 7)

The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 7, the operations further comprising generating, based on another loading of the page, image data indicative of the structure of the page, wherein the animated representation of the structure of the page is based on an animation of the image data.

### Claim 12 (depends on 7)

The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 7,
wherein the graphical representation of the amount of time remaining for the duration of the loading time for the page includes an indication of an amount of time associated with loading a first page element of the page elements of the page and an amount of time associated with loading a second page element of the page elements of the page.

### Claim 13

A system comprising:
a memory; and
at least one processor coupled to the memory and configured to perform operations comprising:
determining, based on a request to load a page of a user interface, a duration of a loading time for the page;
determining, based on the duration of the loading time exceeding a time threshold, a structure of the page that indicates an arrangement of page elements of the page;
causing, during the loading time, display of a preview page for the page comprising an animated representation of the structure of the page indicating a plurality of additional arrangements of the page elements; and
causing, based on an interaction with the preview page for the page, display of a graphical representation of an amount of time remaining for the duration of the loading time for the page.

### Claim 14 (depends on 13)

The system of claim 13, wherein the determining the duration of the loading time for the page comprises receiving, from a predictive model trained to forecast loading times for user interface pages, based on information indicative of the page input to the predictive model, an indication of the duration of the loading time.
