Abstract
Novel organoselenium selective ligands are presented and designed to determine metal ions in a sample. These ligands are used as complexing agents in a dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction procedure of copper and zinc ions. The procedure has a shortened extraction time, minimal organic solvent types, and lower amounts of solvents, as well as easy operation and high enrichment efficiency.
Claims6
A method for determining metal ions in a sample, the method comprising:
- complexing an organoselenium compound with a metal ion in the sample to obtain a complex;
- and
- extracting the complex in a volume of an alcohol;
- wherein the organoselenium compound has the formula III:
- or a salt, stereoisomer, or solvate thereof, wherein
- each X is the same and is hydrogen;
- and
- R is ethyl, propyl, butyl, phenyl, or ethylphenyl.
A method for determining metal ions in a sample, the method comprising:
- complexing an organoselenium compound with a metal ion in the sample to obtain a complex;
- and
- extracting the complex in a volume of an alcohol;
- wherein the organoselenium compound has the formula III:
- or a salt, stereoisomer, or solvate thereof, wherein
- each X is the same and is fluorine, chlorine, bromine, methyl, or methoxy;
- and
- R is ethyl, propyl, butyl, phenyl, or ethylphenyl.
A method for determining metal ions in a sample, the method comprising:
- complexing an organoselenium compound with a metal ion in the sample to obtain a complex;
- and
- extracting the complex in a volume of an alcohol;
- wherein the organoselenium compound is selected from the group consisting of:
