Abstract
An unmanned and remotely controlled airship has a system of multirotors combined with an inflatable envelope. The airship may be lifted/powered by a power system that has three or more rotors. The airship may be constructed using rods, connectors, the main system/control box and the rotors. The airship system may have a systemic symmetry for weight distribution and flight control and may be, for example, a symmetric ellipsoid envelope/blimp.
Claims10
An unmanned airship, comprising:
- a body of an unmanned flight device;
- a single inflatable envelope filled with a gas having an ellipsoid shape and connected to the body of the unmanned flight device that provides a portion of the lift to the unmanned flight device;
- two or more rotors connected to the body of the unmanned flight device and located underneath the single inflatable envelope that provide a second portion of the lift to the unmanned flight device;
- a control box, that is part of the body of the unmanned flight device, underneath a center of the single inflatable envelope and each of the two or more rotors being connected to the control box;
- and
- wherein the airship has a systemic symmetry based on the single inflatable envelope, the control box underneath the center of the single inflatable envelope and the two or more rotors adjacent the periphery of the single inflatable envelope for weight distribution and flight control of the airship.
