Lifting and transporting assembly for lifting and transporting a goal

A lifting and transporting assembly for lifting and transporting sports equipment over a surface, the sports equipment having a frame comprising one or more frame members, the assembly comprising:

• an elongate arm pivotally mounted on a coupling member having a first end and second end, the coupling member for coupling the elongate arm with the frame member of the sports equipment, the arm being moveably mounted on the coupling member;
• a wheel coupled with the first end of the elongate arm;
• locking means configured to lock the arm relative to the coupling member;
• wherein the arm is moveable between:
• a first configuration wherein the elongate arm is orientated substantially horizontally and the wheel of the assembly is positioned above a lower portion of the frame member, such that the frame member is capable of being in contact with the surface, and a second configuration wherein the elongate arm is orientated substantially vertically and the wheel of the assembly is positioned below the lower portion of the frame member to lift the frame member off the surface;
• and
• wherein the coupling member comprises a sleeve shaped to define a cavity adapted to receive the frame member;
• and
• wherein the cavity within the sleeve is oriented substantially horizontally;
• and
• wherein the arm is lockable in the second configuration using the locking means.
