## Abstract

A catheter pump is disclosed. The catheter pump can include an impeller and a catheter body having a lumen therethrough. The catheter pump can also include a drive shaft disposed inside the catheter body. A motor assembly can include a chamber. The motor assembly can include a rotor disposed in the at least a portion of the chamber, the rotor mechanically coupled with a proximal portion of the drive shaft such that rotation of the rotor causes the drive shaft to rotate. The motor assembly can also comprise a stator assembly disposed about the rotor. The motor assembly can also include a heat exchanger disposed about the stator assembly, the heat exchanger may be configured to direct heat radially outward away from the stator assembly, the rotor, and the chamber.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A catheter pump system comprising:
a catheter assembly;
a motor assembly including a stator assembly and a rotor disposed radially with the stator assembly, the motor assembly coupled to the catheter assembly, the motor assembly including:
a shaft assembly;
a flow diverter disposed at least partially radially between the stator assembly and the rotor, the flow diverter located about the shaft assembly, the flow diverter having a proximal end and a distal end;
a first flange coupled to the proximal end of the flow diverter; and
a second flange coupled to the distal end of the flow diverter;
wherein the first flange and the second flange each respectively include a vibration damping element.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The catheter pump system of claim 1, wherein the first flange includes a first opening and the second flange includes a second opening, and wherein the shaft assembly extends through at least one of the first opening and the second opening.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The catheter pump system of claim 1, wherein the first flange comprises an inner flange portion and an outer flange portion, the inner flange portion radially spaced apart from the outer flange portion and defining an annular gap.

### Claim 4 (depends on 3)

The catheter pump system of claim 3, wherein the damping element of the first flange is disposed within the annular gap.

### Claim 5 (depends on 4)

The catheter pump system of claim 4, wherein the damping element comprises one of a rubber material, an elastomer material, a polymer material, or a spring.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)
