Quantum mechanics as a service

A method, comprising:

• receiving, from a remote user device by a cloud-based server, a user request for implementation of a selected recipe for processing quantum state carriers;
• providing, from the cloud-based server to a quantum mechanics station, the selected recipe;
• implementing, by the quantum mechanics station, the selected recipe so as to yield at least one resulting quantum state of the quantum state carriers;
• returning, by the quantum mechanics station to the cloud-based server, at least one characterization of the at least one resulting quantum state of the quantum state carriers;
• and
• transmitting, by the cloud-based server to the remote user device, the at least one characterization.

A method, comprising:

• receiving, from a cloud-based server at a quantum mechanics station, a recipe for processing quantum state carriers;
• implementing, by the quantum mechanics station, the recipe, at least one quantum state being provided by implementation of the recipe by the quantum mechanics station so as to yield at least one resulting quantum state of the quantum state carriers;
• and
• providing, to the cloud-based server from the quantum mechanics station, at least one characterization of the at least one resulting quantum state of the quantum state carriers, the cloud-based server being configured to communicate with a remote user device regarding the recipe and the at least one characterization.
