Abstract
The present disclosure features methods and compositions for increasing the amount of products of cellular metabolism, e.g., proteins, by lowering the temperature of cells expressing the product at one or more steps while culturing the cells, expressing the product, and/or recovering the product.
Claims22
A method of producing a stabilized product expressed in
- a recombinant host cell, comprising:
- a) culturing the cell, wherein an average redox potential of the production culture is about 0 mV to about 20 mV at the beginning of the culturing step, under conditions that maintain and wherein a decrease of the average redox potential of the production culture does not exceed 60 mV from the beginning of the culturing step to the time of harvest of the cell, and
- b) harvesting the cell comprising the stabilized product.
