Indoor food waste fermentation and recycling process

A process for producing a cleaning solution from food waste comprising the steps of:

• removing inorganic items from the food waste, resulting in a screened waste;
• reducing the screened waste into uniform particles, resulting in a shredded waste;
• heating the shredded waste to up to 45 degrees Celsius;
• applying an inoculants solution containing lactic acid bacteria to the shredded waste and mixing the shredded waste with the inoculant for up to 48 hours, resulting in a fermentation-ready waste;
• fermenting the fermentation-ready waste until pH reaches 4 or below, resulting in a fermented batch;
• separating the fermented batch into a liquid and a wet solid;
• further processing the liquid to remove suspended particles resulting in a first liquid stream;
• drying the wet solid using heat until the wet solid achieves 50% or greater reduction in weight, resulting in a dried fermented waste;
• collecting condensate from the drying of the wet solid resulting in a second liquid stream;
• and
• processing the first and the second liquid streams together by applying up to 0.2 micron filtration and ultraviolet light treatment resulting in the cleaning solution.
