## Abstract

A method of producing a modified fibrous wollastonite is provided. The method includes hydrothermally treating a fibrous wollastonite.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method consisting of: heating a composition consisting of a fibrous wollastonite having an average fiber length of from 1 μm to 100 μm and water at a pressure of 0.2 MPa or more and 4 MPa or less.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method according to claim 1, wherein the heating is carried out at a temperature of above 100° C. to 250° C.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The method according to claim 1, wherein the heating is carried out in a time period of from 1 hour to 100 hours.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The method according to claim 1, wherein the composition consisting of the fibrous wollastonite and water has a fibrous wollastonite content of 40% by mass or less relative to a total mass of the composition.

### Claim 5 (depends on 2)

The method according to claim 2, wherein the heating is carried out in a time period of from 1 hour to 100 hours.

### Claim 6 (depends on 2)

The method according to claim 2, wherein the composition consisting of the fibrous wollastonite and water has a fibrous wollastonite content of 40% by mass or less relative to a total mass of the composition.

### Claim 7 (depends on 3)

The method according to claim 3, wherein the composition consisting of the fibrous wollastonite and water has a fibrous wollastonite content of 40% by mass or less relative to a total mass of the composition.

### Claim 8 (depends on 5)

The method according to claim 5, wherein the composition consisting of the fibrous wollastonite and water has a fibrous wollastonite content of 40% by mass or less relative to a total mass of the composition.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

The method according to claim 1, wherein the heating is carried out at a pressure of 0.8 MPa or more and 4 MPa or less.

### Claim 10 (depends on 1)

The method according to claim 1, wherein the method consists of heating a composition consisting of a fibrous wollastonite and water at a pressure of 0.2 MPa or more and 4 MPa or less in a closed container.

### Claim 11 (depends on 1)

The method according to claim 1, wherein the method consists of heating a composition consisting of a fibrous wollastonite and water at a pressure of 0.2 MPa or more and 4 MPa or less in a sealed container.

### Claim 12 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein a product obtained by the method has an average fiber length of fibrous wollastonite that is from 1 μm to 100 μm.
