Liquid inhibiting air intake for blood pressure monitor

A blood pressure monitoring device configured to attach and supply air to a blood pressure cuff, the device comprising:

• a housing comprising a top outer surface, a bottom outer surface, an interior, a top interior surface, a bottom interior surface, and sides, said bottom outer surface configured to be positioned adjacent said blood pressure cuff when said blood pressure monitoring device is attached to said blood pressure cuff;
• a first opening, said first opening extending through one of the sides, said first opening spaced a first distance from said bottom outer surface;
• an inner wall extending at least partially between the top interior surface and the bottom interior surface, said inner wall partitioning the interior of the housing into a first interior portion and a second interior portion, said first interior portion positioned closer to said first opening than said second interior portion, wherein said first opening provides fluid communication between said first interior portion and ambient air outside said housing;
• a second opening, said second opening extending through said inner wall and providing fluid communication between said first and second interior portions, said second opening spaced a second distance from said bottom outer surface, said second distance being greater than said first distance thereby inhibiting liquids from entering said second interior portion when said blood pressure monitoring device is attached to said blood pressure cuff;
• and
• a port configured to enable fluid communication between said second interior portion and an interior of the blood pressure cuff when said blood pressure monitoring device is attached to said blood pressure cuff.
