Warping machine for a rope and corresponding method

A warping machine for a rope made of a plurality of yarns, comprising:

• a support structure;
• a bobbin onto which said rope is warped, the bobbin being mounted on the support structure and configured to rotate around a rotational bobbin axis;
• a pressure drum rotatably mounted on the support structure and configured to rotate around a rotational drum axis and to apply pressure onto the rope warped onto the bobbin;
• a drive configured to rotationally drive the bobbin around the rotational bobbin axis, wherein the pressure drum is mounted at idle for freely turning around its rotational drum axis and the bobbin is arranged between the drive and the pressure drum such that the bobbin transfers rotational driving forces of the drive to the pressure drum;
• and
• an engagement device including an interlock configured to couple the drive to the bobbin, the interlock being fixedly connected to the drive, wherein the interlock forms a force introduction point configured to engage with a bobbin force transmission point including a ball screw configured to guidingly move the interlock along the rotational bobbin axis to engage and disengage the bobbin.

A warping machine for a rope made of a plurality of yarns, comprising:

• a support structure;
• a bobbin onto which said rope is warped, the bobbin being mounted on the support structure and configured to rotate around a rotational bobbin axis;
• a pressure drum rotatably mounted on the support structure and configured to rotate around a rotational drum axis and to apply pressure onto the rope warped onto the bobbin;
• a rope guide arranged upstream of the bobbin and movably supported with respect to the bobbin on the support structure to reciprocate and guide the rope along a warping width of the bobbin, wherein the rope guide is further movably supported with respect to the bobbin to move away from the bobbin to follow an increasing warp thickness on the bobbin;
• a drive configured to rotationally drive the bobbin around the rotational bobbin axis, wherein the pressure drum is mounted at idle for freely turning around its rotational drum axis and the bobbin is arranged between the drive and the pressure drum such that the bobbin transfers rotational driving forces of the drive to the pressure drum;
• and
• an engagement device including an interlock configured to couple the drive to the bobbin, the interlock being fixedly connected to the drive, wherein the interlock forms force introduction point configured to engage with a bobbin force transmission point including a ball screw configured to guidingly move the interlock along the rotational bobbin axis to engage and disengage the bobbin.
