A method of treating or preventing an infection caused by hepatitis B virus comprising administering to a host in need a pharmaceutical composition comprising an effective amount of a compound having a structure selected from:
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, or mixtures thereof,
- and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier,
- wherein the host is a human.
