Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a shock absorber (100) including a cylinder (7), a piston rod (2) and a piston (6) attached to the piston rod (2). The piston (6) is arranged in the cylinder (7) and a damping chamber including a damping media is defined in the cylinder (7). The shock absorber (100) further includes a gas spring in functional connection with the damping chamber and at least one characteristic of the gas spring is adjustable by a user-adjustable feature arranged within the piston rod, wherein the user adjustable feature affects the enclosing area of the damping chamber, thereby indirectly affecting the gas spring through the functional connection.
Claims12
A shock absorber comprising a cylinder, a piston rod with a piston attached to the piston rod, wherein the piston is arranged in the cylinder and wherein a damping chamber comprising a damping media is defined in the cylinder, wherein the shock absorber further comprises a gas spring in functional connection with the damping chamber, wherein at least one characteristic of the gas spring is adjustable by a user-adjustable feature arranged within the piston rod, wherein the user adjustable feature affects an available volume of an enclosing area of the damping chamber, thereby indirectly affecting the gas spring through the functional connection.
