Abstract
A method for hardware assisted data lookup in a storage unit is provided. The method includes formatting data in at least one of a plurality of data formats for storage in the storage unit. The method includes configuring a logic unit with one or more parameters associated with the plurality of data formats and identifying incoming data with the one or more parameters as an instruction for execution.
Claims20
A method, comprising:
- reading a header of a page of memory of a solid state storage device, the header comprising location information of metadata stored in the memory;
- and
- identifying, by a processing device, an instruction for execution in the metadata, the instruction comprising a command to perform an action on another page of the memory.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instructions which, when executed, cause a processing device to:
- read a header of a page of memory of a solid state storage device, the header comprising location information of metadata stored in the memory;
- and
- identify an instruction for execution in the metadata, the instruction comprising a command to perform an action on another page of the memory.
A system comprising:
- a solid state storage device;
- and
- a processing device, operatively coupled to the solid state storage device, configured to:
- read a header of a page of memory of the solid state storage device, the header comprising location information of metadata stored in the memory;
- and
- identify an instruction for execution in the metadata, the instruction comprising a command to perform an action on another page of the memory.
