An air purifier (100) includes a detection unit (130) and a control unit (110). The detection unit (130) periodically detects environment information. The control unit (110) determines whether or not the environment information satisfies a specific condition a plurality of times during the specific time period (Ts) corresponding to an event within a prescribed period (Ta). In a case where the control unit (110) determines that the environment information satisfies the specific condition a plurality of times, the control unit switches a mode from a learning mode to an implementation mode. In the implementation mode, in a case where the environment information meets a trigger during the specific time period, the control unit (110) performs event operational control.
