Method, equipment for receiving scheduling information, terminal, base station and method for transmitting information

A method performed by a base station in a communication system, the method comprising:

• transmitting, to a terminal, high layer signaling including information indicating a coverage enhanced (CE) mode, an index of a physical resource block (PRB) for the CE mode associated with a sub-PRB allocation, and information on a repetition number for the CE mode associated with the sub-PRB allocation;
• transmitting, to the terminal, downlink control information (DCI) including resource allocation information, the resource allocation information indicating a set of subcarriers in the PRB;
• and
• receiving, from the terminal, data based on the set of subcarriers in the PRB and the repetition number.

A terminal in a communication system, the terminal comprising:

• a transceiver;
• and
• a controller coupled with the transceiver and configured to:
• receive, from a base station, high layer signaling including information indicating a coverage enhanced (CE) mode, an index of a physical resource block (PRB) for the CE mode associated with a sub-PRB allocation, and information on a repetition number for the CE mode associated with the sub-PRB allocation,
• receive, from the base station, downlink control information (DCI) including resource allocation information, the resource allocation information indicating a set of subcarriers in the PRB, and
• transmit, to the base station, data based on the set of subcarriers in the PRB and the repetition number.

A base station in a communication system, the base station comprising:

• a transceiver;
• and
• a controller coupled with the transceiver and configured to:
• transmit, to a terminal, high layer signaling including information indicating a coverage enhanced (CE) mode, an index of a physical resource block (PRB) for the CE mode associated with a sub-PRB allocation, and information on a repetition number for the CE mode associated with the sub-PRB allocation,
• transmit, to the terminal, downlink control information (DCI) including resource allocation information, the resource allocation information indicating a set of subcarriers in the PRB, and
• receive, from the terminal, data based on the set of subcarriers in the PRB and the repetition number.
